Celebrities take matters into their own hands (literally) to help American child
Celebrities are taking matters into their own hands (literally) when it comes to fundraising...
You may have noticed celebrities like Britney Spears making a heart sign on Twitter and wondered what it was about.
They are helping to raise money for three American children whose parents were killed in a car crash earlier this month.
By making the sign they hope that people will join the campaign and give money to help the children, who now need hospital treatment because of the accident.
Britney Spears tweeted: “Change your profile picture today & make sure to #showyourhearts,” with a picture of her making the heart symbol.
Lady Gaga also urged her Twitter followers to help the two brothers and sister.
Other stars like Katy Perry, the Jonas Brothers, and Chris Brown all showed their support.
Justin Bieber is a massive supporter of the campaign.
He said: “It is a really sad story, but this is an opportunity for me and my friends to do something good for others.
“We can use our influence to do good. We are just doing our part and I hope those
kids get something positive out of it.”
Bieber fans helped out and one even compiled a video on YouTube of fans making the heart shape with their hands.
