Britain's pets are getting fatter
There are over 3.5million obese dogs in Britain and the problem is even affecting cats, hamsters and other animals!
Britain's pets are getting fat found a study by pet charity PDSA. The PDSA found that 33% - about 3.5million dogs are overweight. Two years ago this was only 25%.
Cats are also getting fatter. The PDSA found that 25% of cats are now overweight compared to 20% three years ago.
The PDSA have warned that being overweight puts dogs and other pets at risk of an early death and can cause serious health problems.
If you live in Glasgow it is even worse - the PDSA found that 50% of pets there are overweight.
The healthiest dogs live in Northern island where less than 20% are overweight.
The PDSA said that the main cause of fat pets was owners feeding them fatty treats, scraps of human food and not giving them enough excercise.
