Bomb disposal expert killed in Afghanistan, bringing the total British soldier death toll to 256.
A bomb disposal expert was killed last Monday in Afghanistan. His death brings the total number of British soldiers killed in action to 256.
This means that more British soldiers have died in this war than in the Falklands war which the British fought against Argentina in 1982.
256 British service personnel have been killed in the Afghan war since 2001, while 255 Britons were killed in the Falklands.
