Bolivia bans all motorised transport for 24 hours

The country has held its first ever National Day of the Pedestrian, which saw all motorised transport banned for 24 hours.

The aim was to make people aware of the environment, although the government has been criticised for allowing a motorway to be built through the rainforest.
