BGT judge David Hasselhoff opens Nickelodeon Land in Blackpool
Britain's Got Talent judge David Hasselhoff opened Pleasure Beach's Nickelodeon Land at a lavish opening ceremony in Blackpool yesterday.
Britain's Got Talent judge and Hollywood legend David Hasselhoff flew in to the UK's biggest amusement park, Pleasure Beach, in Blackpool to open the park's brand new land, Nickelodeon Land. He was joined by global Nickelodeon superstars like SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick and Dora the Explorer.
The new addition to the park sports 12 new rides and attractions all based on popular characters and TV shows from Nickelodeon, including SpongBob SquarePants and The Rugrats.
Although Hasselhoff is best known for his roles on TV shows Baywatch and Knight Rider, he also starred in the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie back in 2004, a role which Hasselhoff says: "saved his career."
Talking about the events of the day Hasselhoff commented: "I've been to a lot of events and openings but those with SpongeBob SquarePants are my favourite! I had a blast working with him on The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and have loved joining him on the Nickelodeon rides at Pleasure Beach."

Nickelodeon Land is now open to the public.
