BBC Sports Personality of the year shortlist contains no women
Critics have hit back at the shortlist for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award because it contains no women.
The list of 10 sports stars was made up from the votes of 27 newspapers and magazines across Britain.
This list is televised live on BBC1, and members of the public get to vote for who they think should be BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
However, 10 of these 27 publications didn't include any women in their votes.
These publications included the London Evening Standard, The Independent, Metro, Daily Star Sunday, the Western Mail, the Daily Post, the Irish News and The People.
Another 10 publications only voted for one woman each.
This has been the first time since 2006 that no women have been included on the shortlist.
Swimmer Rebecca Adlington, who won a World Championship gold medal in 2010 spoke about her disappointment on Twitter: "There's been some great sportswomen like Keri-Anne Payne, it's sad they are not recognised," she said.
Why do you think that there wasn't any women on this year's BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award shortlist?

Some people think that men are a lot better at sports than women, but that's not neccessarily true! It's a bit sexist.

This is very sexist and quite backward. Women may not be as fast or as strong as men, but they definitely deserve the right to be nominated for the award. I think Rebecca Adlington should have been nominated because she is such a role model and inspiration!

I saw the list on the One show, i was gobsmacked when i realised there was no women on it. It is quite sexist, and women have definitely been overlooked.
