Batheaston children help haiti

Children at Batheaston Primary School have been determined to continue to raise money for the victims of the Haiti earthquake.

To date, we have raised a whopping £677.30!

All the pupils at our school contributed in some way. Some of the children organised their own slideathon, others had cake sales with loads of exotic cakes, snowdrop sales, sponsored runs, swims and there was even a kickathon. The Juniors’ largest event was a whole-school toy sale.

Everybody is so pleased about all the money we have raised. All our hard work has impressed the teachers. We have raised money, instead of going to the park and playing with our friends. Loads of us are still raising money, so the grand total is still going up.

All the money everyone raised went to DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) Appeal-Haiti. DEC collects all the money and when there is a disaster in a poor country, it sends the money to loads of different charities, that need it.
