Ashley Cole will not face charges over February shooting
Ashley Cole will not face charges over shooting a student in February.
Chelsea defender Ashley Cole faced scrutiny after shooting a 21-year-old student in an "accident" at the team's training ground in Surrey on 20 February.
Cole reportedly took a powerful .22 rifle into a dressing room at the club’s training ground in Cobham. Apparently not realising that the rifle was loaded, he pointed it at Tom Cowan, a university student on a year’s placement, and it went off, hitting Cowan in the side.
Police officials announced on Friday that the Chelsea defender would not face any charges, stating that there were "no breaches of firearms legislation" on Cole's part and the injured student refused to file a criminal complaint.
Officials have however offered "strong words" to both Cole and the entire club.

what the.. it seems like celebs can just get away with shooting people but if that was sumone else they would face charges !! he ingured a student! why would he bring a RIFLE to FOOTBALL practise! it seems he wanted to show off! he should hav been in prison for just carriing a gun never mind shooting it at someone. and y did he point it at tom and how c*m he didint know it was loaded! why was it loaded!?
