The Britain's Got Talent judge and star of Shrek the Musical Amanda Holden has announced that she is three months pregnant.

Amanda Holden very sadly lost her last baby while seven months pregnant. She is already mum to Lexi five, who is said to be thrilled at the news.

Amanda said: "Chris (her husband) and I are delighted to announce that I am pregnant and we are expecting a little girl.

"The first half of this year has been unbelievably difficult.

"We would like to thank everyone for their support – it has been so incredible and we really are beyond thrilled to share this news."

The star also tweeted: “Lexi’s ­question of the day (and most days): ‘Mama, when are you going to get a baby in your tummy?’

“Happy to say, today, Lexi! Mama is pregnant! Yay.”

Girls Aloud star Kimberly Walsh will be taking over Amanda's role as Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical later this year.
