Abandoned kittens rescued by a dog

FOUR abandoned baby kittens are on the road to recovery thanks to a helping hand from their fairy dogmother.

The kittens were taken to Hull and East Riding RSPCA after a passer-by stopped a group of teenagers throwing them into a drainage ditch.

Staff at the centre began hand feeding the kittens but it wasn’t until one member of staff took them home to care for them that Missey the dog stepped in and started acting like a surrogate mum. Missey cleans the kittens, keeps an eye on them and even gives them snuggles.

Missey was hand-reared herself, so it seems like she is returning the favour.

When the kittens are big enough they will be rehomed via the RSPCA adoption centre.

good dog! poor kittens. You should not throw any animal into a drainage ditch especially young ones.If that was my dog he would have so many treats.

Don't those teenagers have any heart? They should have been given a couple of days community service at least! And it's great that Missy is helping the kittens...
