800 turtle hatchlings released back into the wild
800 baby sea turtles have been released back into the wild at Monterrico beach in Guatemala.
Monterrico beach is famous for its black sand and sea turtle sanctuaries.
The baby sea turtles are bred at a Totugario (a sea turtle hatchery) then they are taken to the ocean to begin their new lives.
Despite 800 baby turtles being released, only about one will survive to adulthood and live for many years at Monterrico beach.
