8 year old iKid releases England World Cup single!
iKid is Luke, a normal eight-year-old football fan, from Halesowen in the West Midlands. He has never been to stage school and never set foot in a recording studio until now…
The record came about almost by accident as Luke’s grandmother asked a producer friend to record him, just as something for the family to keep. However the record came out so well, all involved decided it was worth a shot at getting it released.
Luke is taking it all in his stride, having not even told his classmates yet about his new after-school hobby of being a pop star. He does admit that he’d love to have a hit song and likes the thought of other kids listening to him on their iPods.
Now he’s got the bug, Luke is in the process of recording the iKid album which will be released in October 2010.
