40,000 New Zealand schoolkids being fed breakfast at school

Around 40,000 schoolkids are being fed breakfast at school because their families are too poor to feed them properly.

Officials say that the problem is getting worse because the price of food has gone up by 7% in the last year, but the average wage has only gone up by 2.6%.

    i think it's good that the school will provide this, even if there is a small charge for the families to pay, the staff would have to come into school earlier than usual. (:
