260 killed by Government troops in Syria
260 people have been killed by Government troops in an attack on the Syrian city of Homs.
The city was attacked in an ongoing conflict between the government and opposition groups. The city has been left devastated, with many 260 people dead and homes destroyed.
The opposition say that government troops were responsible for the attack. However, the government deny this and say “terrorist gangs” are to blame.
There has been violence and unrest in Syria for the past year, with protests against the government and the country’s President, Bashar al-Assad.
There is now concern that civil war may break out.
