Ed Balls is the Secretary of State who leads the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF). The DCSF are supporting First News with the My Way! and Ed Balls launched the campaign with Henry Winkler at Downing Street.

The Department for Children, Schools and Families are the government department responsible for matters involving children and young people, their education and wellbeing, and support for parents and families in England. They are directly responsible for state education in England. The DCSF wants to make this the best place in the world for children and young people to grow up.  They want to:

Help children and young people to be happy and healthy

Keep them safe and sound

Give them a top class education

Help them stay on track

Their Children's Plan says how they plan to achieve their ambition.

Direct Gov also has some useful information, including education, jobs and issues for young people and their families.
