My Way! Campaign Teaching Resources for KS2 & KS3
Category - Breaking news
First News has created a set of teaching resources to support teachers with the MyWay! campaign in schools. These resources consist of THREE My Way! assemblies and three follow-on PSHE lessons to build on each theme back in the classroom. These resources have been produced to promote inclusion and friendship and help pupils to overcome learning challenges and reach their full potential, whatever their needs.
Learning Objectives
Pupils will:
• gain a greater knowledge and understanding of their own learning successes as well as challenges;
• appreciate that others may face different learning challenges and respect the differences between people;
• recognise their worth as individuals and the worth of others;
• set personal goals to face challenges positively by collecting information, seeking help and taking action.
1. Assembly and PSHE Lesson One: 'A grain of rice'
2. Assembly and PSHE Lesson Two: 'Can you change your brain?'
3. Assembly and PSHE Lesson Three: 'Do something'
