World's largest chocolate bar

Chocolate makers Thorntons have created the largest bar of chocolate in the world!

The monster-sized bar of chocolate weighs 5,827kgs and is 4m long by 4m wide. The bar was created to celebrate the 100th birthday of the company.

The idea for the stunt came from one of the employees, who says that Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was one of his favourite films as a child.

More than 50 people were involved in the creation of the bar, which took ten hours and is, officially, a Guinness World Record now. The previous record was set in September by an American chocolate maker, whose bar weighed 5,529kg.
