First time Eurovision win for Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan won the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 this weekend for the first time since the competition began over fifty years ago.

The pop duo known as Ell/Nikki picked up the trophy for this year's Eurovision Song Contest, after receiving 221 points on the scoreboard for their song, Running Scared.

The UK's boy band entry, Blue, came 11th and were just beaten by Ireland's Jedward, who came 8th in the competition.

This achievement marks a first time win for Azerbaijan in this competition.
