You’ll have heard his new single Me Without You all over the radio, but who is the silky-voiced Loick Essien? Here’s all you need to know…

21-year-old Loick has been working hard at his music since 2008, but it wasn’t until his third single, How We Roll featuring Tanya Lacey, that he reached number two in
the charts. 

Loick featured on Chipmunk’s debut single Beast back in 2008, and he has also collaborated with Bashy and N-Dubz. 

His name is French and pronounced ‘Lu-week’, although in France they spell it differently. Loick says: “People always get my name wrong!” 

His forthcoming album, Identity, features a variety of different styles and guest appearances. Lots of the tracks Loick wrote himself while soaking in the bath! 

Loick started performing when he was just a kid, at his mum’s hairdressing salon in London. “I used to sing, dance, and do the video routines for the clients she had,” he remembers.

Talented Loick has also acted, modelled and starred in music videos, before making his own!
