The coolest girls in pop are back in the charts this week with their gorgeous summer single Missing You. We caught up with them (minus Mollie who was sick) at the 02 for the Transformation Trust gig to find out about their summer tips and stories.

You’ve just performed at the 02 for the Transformation Trust. Did you have fun?

Frankie: Yes! We love being at the O2.

Rochelle: We’re excited because we’re opening the show as well.

Una: Our performance was actually in the afternoon, which sounds really weird, because we’re so used to performing at night time. It felt a bit early to be up on the O2 stage but it was fun!

Your new single, Missing You, is out this week and it has quite a summer feel. Where did you shoot the video?

Rochelle: In Spain, near Malaga.

Very nice! Did you have any time off when you were out there or was it all business?

Rochelle: We were really busy making the video, but it didn’t feel like work.

Una: We had a little bit of time before and after the shoot. It was a great experience.

Frankie: It was the most chilled video we’ve filmed.

When you go away, who’s the most organised?

Rochelle: Me, definitely. I’ll be the one that takes all the passports and tickets if we’re flying on our own.

Vanessa: As soon as she gets there, she hangs up all her clothes, where I just throw it all in the case and have to rummage through to find stuff.

Rochelle: I always end up re-packing Mollie’s case for her.

When you’re abroad do you try the local cuisine?

Frankie: No, I never try it! I’m so fussy!

Rochelle: I love to try new food.

Una: In the Mediterranean, like down in Spain or Italy, I always eat the food. I like that kind of food anyway. We tried a lot of new things in Asia when we went there.

Rochelle: Yes, we had weird custard and random stuff.

Una: Frankie doesn’t, but she will be fine with a ham sandwich!

Frankie: Ha ha and spaghetti bolognaise!

Now the summer is here, are you into tanning or do you prefer to fake it?

Una: Me and Mollie use fake tan the most.

Rochelle: I tan really quickly. I’ll be sat in the sun and then all of sudden I’ll be tanned! But then, I don’t necessarily need a tan!

Una: My face is always pale, because I don’t allow it to be in the sun, but my body always goes brown.

Rochelle: When we all went on holiday, Mollie got sunstroke. So she wears quite a high factor now.

Vanessa: We all wear sunscreen though. You have to.

Summer holidays are here. Do you have any memories from school trips?

Rochelle: When I was at school we went to this place called Stubbers. It was an outside activities centre. We did abseiling, climbing, everything – kind of getting down and dirty! That was my best school trip.

Frankie: Well I went to France when I was in Year 6. I had a really good time, but I’m a really fussy eater and the food was really horrible! They used to give us a packed lunch and that was all you had a choice of eating and I remember being hungry the whole time because I didn’t want to eat the food!

Are you getting summer holidays this year?

Rochelle: No, I don’t think so. We don’t have time!

Una: I’m just back from Ibiza, actually, but the weather is really nice here. I think it’s the best summer to be in the UK. The weather is as good as it is in Spain!

What else are you up to over the summer?

Vanessa: We’re very busy. We’ll be working every day.

Rochelle: We have the new single out, so that means a lot of tv performances, media and press.

Vanessa: And our new album, Headlines, is coming out.

Una: We’re going off touring around the country, so you’ll probably see us everywhere!
