It's been five years since First News released its very first issue... and what a five years its been! 

The First News team decided to mark such a momentous occasion with a well deserved celebration... and celebrate we did! 

Our friends at the EDF Energy London Eye were kind enough to give us our very own pod for the evening - offering breathtaking sights of the city from unbelievable heights.

As we reached the top, the sun was just setting, resulting in a spectacular view of the London skyline. There was a moment of silence throughout the pod as everyone took in the sight... this was soon interrupted by a few members of the team who decided to start singing Happy Birthday to First News!

Since its very first round-trip, over a decade ago, the EDF Energy London Eye has fast become one of the UK’s most popular attractions, and is visited by around 10,000 people every day!
