Eco school...
Mrs Tatistill, our ‘Eco teacher’, and the Eco team at school spent so much time doing all things green that they decided it was time that our school tried for the Green Flag award.
We already have a bronze, silver and gold certificate and they thought that the school finally deserved the flag, so we applied and were all really excited when we were given a date for our assessment visit.
The day of the visit was here at last. In assembly everyone sat silent as our teacher told us: “Right, now it’s our time to shine, so let’s not waste it!!”.
No-one messed around, everyone paid attention and no-one complained as we all wanted our school to be awarded with the Green Flag.
The assessor arrived and spent the day looking around the school, asking questions and seeing exactly what we do and how we do it.
Wow, such an eventful day. Whenever I saw the lady, I smiled and waved like crazy. Let’s hope all the effort that everyone put in pays off.
Fingers crossed we will win the Green Flag award for our school.
