Dinosaur heads found in America are from an unknown, new species.
A new species of dinosaur has been discovered in Utah, USA.
A team of scientists discovered four skulls, including two whole ones, on a dig at Dinosaur National Monument, one of America’s national parks.
The creature has been given the name Abydosaurus mcintoshi, and is a new species of sauropod. It had a long neck and tail, and its closest known relative was Brachiosaurus.
The skulls of sauropods aren’t usually preserved well. This is because they are made of thin bones and soft tissue.
Experts say these skulls show that Abydosaurus could not chew its food and would just swallow it whole.
