Just talk

My best friend moving.

By petalx (Age 12)

I am writing this article to tell you about how I felt when my bestfriend Lauren went to live abroad. Lauren found out a month before christmas that she was moving to Holland with her family. As soon as she found out she was leaving she came round to my house to tell me. It was a total shock and it felt like the worst day of my life. After that we had sleepovers all the time and at every sleep over the thought of her leaving would come up somwhere, it was and is heartbreaking for me. I remember saying one time, "if only I could turn back time to before I knew about the move." But thanks to technology we've kept in touch, it is difficult as Holland is an hour ahead but we manage. So to all those people who are worrying about their best friend leaving, dont, keep texting and skyping so when they come back you are as close as before.

My friend Aimee moves to Thailand for a bit every year and then comes back a year later and goes to Thailand again for another year. She will be coming back to England (where she was born) again soon but this time we are so happy because dhe is staying here for now because she dosnt go to school in Thailand so its messing up her education. We talk to eachother everyday and I really cant wait for her to come back in March!! That must be really hard for you. I had a best friend, Dora, who moved abroad a week before christmas in 2011. It was really hard for me and one day, when I was chatting to her on skype, this other girl with shiny black hair appeared behind her. I asked who she was and Dora said she was Anna, her new best friend. It broke my heart and I havent contacted her since. I think other readers should learn from my experience that when friends move they may make other friends.

My friend moved to Australia and we still chat she visits some summers but not very much. We were best friends and she has a new best friend and I don't mind because we have moved on so Tabbycat16 you should still contact her and say sorry.

My best friend moved to Hong Kong and we sent letters to each other for a while but then she sent me one with all her new friends signatures on it and she'd labelled one as her best friend. I felt really sad, like she didn't want me anymore. She moved again and didn't give me her new address. I haven't spoken to her in a year. Shame, really.

Aaaw, that's really sweet! One of my best friends moved to Australia, about a year and a half ago, and we keep in touch by email! Technology is a wonderful thing. :)

hi1567077, no offence or anything, but I chose not to contact her again. It seems as though you are forcing me to speak to her. NHF though. :)
