What type of game is it?

 Mario Kart 7 is a racing game with new features that its predecessors never had. The new gliding feature is activated when you go off a blue ramp, and can potentionally save time when used correctly. What's more, bunny hop (When you press R but you don't use the directions to drift) when you get to the peak of a blue ramp and you go really fast! You can also customise your kart, rather than having to have standard kart l or rob kart or whatever.

What is it about?

 It's the typical 50cc-mirror class thingymabobber. The graphics are a LOT better

The best track is the new rainbow road, a sprawling one-lap race around space (Ooh, unintentional rhyme!) You'll glide through Uranus with speed ramps, and there's a planet in the background that makes you go "It would be SO cool if you could ride on that!" And HUZZAH! You can!

There are more shortcuts and alternative routes, some invisible to the naked eye, while some blindingly obvious On Daisy Hills, what seems to be a mii-filled rendition of Holland, just before the glider ramp there's a route covered by grass that, with a super glider, can take you above the windmills and on to houses.

The hardest course is SNES Rainbow road, because the corners are tight and speed boosts at all can ruin your performance. And entire star wasted.

There are a lot of glitches though. On the Wuhu island loop (Yes, it's happened! A 1-lap race around wuhu, while a second track takes you round the mountain) if you mushroom into the wall with the pointy rock just before the cave you get taken to the end of lap 2. Overall, though, it's AMAZING!!!
