LIES by Michael Grant

Lies is the third book in the GONE series by Michael Grant. A girl named Orsay is claiming that she can communicate with the parents on the other side of the FAYZ wall. When kids in the FAYZ (the circular zone where all the kids are trapped) turn 15, their parents appear to them and try to get them to come with them. But it's a trick...the parent who appears to the kid is a vision, a monster in disguise. Orsay starts telling people that if you go with the monster, you reappear on the other side of the FAYZ wall. Astrid Ellison, Sam's girlfriend, is religious, and believes that it is suicide. Afraid the kids will be punished in the afterlife, she tells everybody that Orsay is lying.

This book is full of action but not as good as the previous two books. I would still recommend it to any fan of GONE and HUNGER.

    i think u can join the library free; its great because u can request books which the library doesnt have 4 free!!!

    The first two books (GONE and HUNGER) are brilliant, but unfortunately the storyline starts going a bit weird after this. Oh, and I like your avatar, LionLover!

    laurcool, I would definitely recommend it, but you should start off by reading GONE and HUNGER if you don't know the story, because it won't make any sense if you don't. And Mirri04, I was saying to gummybear that if you join the library you don't have to buy books - you can borrow them for free. You can also request books from other libraries, also for free. I am hoping the series will be made into a film...

    Mmm...you may be disappointed, bubbles123, because LIES is nowhere near as good as GONE and HUNGER. (In my opinion) But why not enter the competition?
