Does anybody speak another language? I speak fluent French and it would be great to have someone to talk to in French! What languages do you guys speak?

    I Speak LOADS Of English!!! Lol, I Speak French A Bit (Basic And A Bit More) And German!! Because I learn French and German at school. I know a few Spanish phrases and I know one word in every single language ever. TAXI!! Taxi is the same in every language.

    At my school we have 3 French lessons a week!I know a few sentences in German and some numbers in Spanish and Japanese.I also know how to say hello in other languages.

    Lol!! English is the easiest language in all of the world!! Unless you don't speak English!! I can: Speak EXTREMELY fluent English, quite good French and German and a bit of Spanish. Also, I can say a few Italian words and I know at least one word from every language: TAXI!!

    At my school we learn French and German but some of my friends learn Latin as an afterschool club. We are choosing our options at the end of this year and I don't know what languages to take (We are allowed to take French, German or Spanish)!!! I want to learn lots of languages so I can go to lots of different countries. Is there anyone else in Year 8 that is taking their options this year and doesn't know what languages to take????????? :)

    Well, I'm Year Eight but I'm home educated, and at the moment I'm not learning any languages. (Unless you count English, which is hardly a foreign language) I'd do whatever language is spoken most widely (ie one which is spoken in the most countries) so you can visit lots of countries and not have to learn new languages.

    redhorse, we are allowed to take more than 1 language but if we take french, german and spanish we don't get to take any other subjects like art, geography, drama, music and history, the only subjects that are compulsory are english, maths, science, p.e, d.t and r.e.     puppy8, I was learning very simple French in a fun group when I was three, and then when I was about six or seven I stopped going to the French group. Then I started again a year later, doing proper French instead of just learning the same words over and over again, and four years later I was taking GCSE! ;) If you stick at learning Spanish, you could expect to be pretty fluent in a few years.

    At my school we learn french and German. You have the choice to take a third language but you can't stop learning one unless you take another. aLso you have to do at least two for GCSE it is not fair. I go to a school that specialises in languages and they push us really hard. The only up side is that you meet people from loads of different countries

    I'd love to speak Mandarin but I can only say a few words in it! In order of what languages I speak best: fluent English (obs), fluent-enough French, German, Spanish (my auntie's Spanish), Croatian (my dad used to live in Croatia), Dutch, Japanise, Malayalam, Turkish, Mandarin.     I have decided on my options now at school and I'm taking German!! It was a choice between French and German, so I chose German because it's so much more fun and it's easier! And I'm one of the best in my year at it, so it makes sense! Xox

    I was entered into a french spelling bee and got through to the regonal finals! I came joint 4th with a girl from our school but only four peopple could go through so her and i had to have a play off and she won so she will now go to the national finals in cambridge, but to be honest her dad is a french teacher!
