Is school uniform popular?

I did a survey with 100 children in my school about school uniform and my results show that most children LIKE school uniform. I am suprised as I thought that most children would not like their school uuniform. Most children said thiis because it makes everyone equal, it will be easier to identify you if you were lost on a school trip, you do not have trouble dressing up in the morning, you will not have mufti day or charity events and many more. Only a small amount of children did not like their school uniform.

Do you think school uniform is a good idea?

Yes: 93 No: 7

Do you prefer Blazers or Jumpers?

Blazers: 23 Jumpers: 77

What do you think of ties?

Good : 86 Bad: 14

Those were my results. I did have other questions but they were to give your opinion. When I got the results, I was shocked. What do you think?

    I think it is a good idea, and I quite like mine as it is shirt + tie and trousers/skirt. :)

    the reasons we shouldnt have school uniform is because aren't we always told to be ourselves and we are all different and unique in our special way? Wearing our school uniform makes us feel normal and the same as everyone and not different

    I like my school uniform as it is very basic. Green jumper, white polo and a grey skirt.

    I like my uniform, because come on, who can wear the same clothes every day, especially when there is so much competition for different styles? Uniform gives you an identity and a sense of belonging to a community, which is really good. I like my uniform - it's a stripy tie, black blazer with the school badge emblazoned on it, grey jumper, white shirt and grey trousers. I also wear a black headscharf. :)

    I like my school uniform, I think school uniform is a good idea, I prefer blazers and ties are a bad idea :)

    i hate my uniform because its so cold with no jumpers. i like blazers as there are lots of pockets but a set uniform doesnt show your indivduality and creativity

    I think it is really unfair that we wear school uniform because in Germany and sometimes in France you don't have to!

    I think thats it's really good having a school uniform if we didn't have them we wouldn't be equal and it would be easier for bullys to find targets. It would also put on lots of peer pressure, for example in France they all go home for lunch, some people feel the need to change their clothes at lunch so they are cool and they can show off their new clothes. Lots of countries don't have school uniform but I think we're lucky to have it.
