Is Microwaved Food Dangerous?
By Shells (Age 8)
There is a doubt about whether microwaved food is dangerous or not. Some parents won`t let their children have microwaved food because they think the radiation which works the microwave will go into the food. If it does the child might get cancer or bad illness. Some parents will let their children have it because they think there is a protection around the food.Scientists have not yet proved that microwaved food is dangerous and so many people will continue using them.

That's ridiculous, there is nothing to prove that the microwave radiation goes into the food. It's not possible, it's not scientifically possible. It is only the heat from the microwave that touches the food, and this kills the bad bacteria in it, so if anything, microwaving meals make it just as good as putting them in the oven. :)

Smokeyice, tell your mum that microwaves won't give you radiation. For example, if we all went by that logic then we wouldn't have xrays as they give out radiation. It's all just about the exposure, and in microwaves the exposure to radiation is minimum, it doesn't do anything. There has to be a lot of radiation to get an illness like cancer from it, and a lot of exposure too. If anybody is bothered, just don't have microwave meals.
