By honeybun00 (Age 11)

Hey!

Here are some solutions if you have problems with the battery running low on your Apple device.

1. Put it on Airplane Mode

2. Turn off Wi-fi

3. Turn off 3G if your don't need it

4. Lower the brightness of your screen

Hope this helps, and if you need a question answereda about anything techie, just tell me in the comments box and I'll make an article to answer your question.

Oh, I know... This happened to my ipod nano. Sorry but the only thing you can do is take it to an apple store and ask them to clean it out for you. It happens when you don't clean your headphones properly and when you plug it in it gets dirt in it and that is what causes it. I cannot remember but I think it is very cheap or at least free. =) And that is what usually fixes it but if you have it done then clean them next time! =)

Also, there are loads of programs that run in the background that you do not need running. If you tap the home button twice some apps will come up. If you hold one for a while a close sign will appear in the corner. Just close down all your apps and you will find that the charge doesn't run out nearly as quickly. (the apps aren't deleted or anything. You won't actually noticed a difference)

Yeah, my iPod touch seems to be running out of battery very quick and actually, I have not got that many apps at all! I don't play games so much and my brightness is always low. I use home internet. Another thing that can use up battery is if that your volume is to the max. When you're not listening to a song, put the volume off. It helps:)

Another thing is, though it sounds really stupid, you need to make sure your device is 100% charged! Sometimes you take it off before it's ready. I agree with PeaceLove, I experience that with my iPod! :)

Just note - most (but not all) electrical devices that have re-chargeable batteries die after 5-7 years of there life. That is when you need to get a new battery. I have a Compaq A900 laptop that has lost a battery. Where do I get one?

Thanks Red:) Yeah, sometimes (when I first got my iPod), when it shows the battery bar is full, it doesn't really mean it is.
