First News launches Diamond Kids!

By nwilliams

First News is launching a search for Britain’s most entertaining young people to perform at our Royal Gala for the Diamond Jubilee.

Superstar judge Jason Donovan, who is hosting the Royal Gala, is helping lead what will be the biggest ever discovery of young talent in the country.

We’re looking for groups and individual singers, dancers, magicians, comedians, acrobats or any other talented young people.

The important thing is that we find a variety of different acts to perform at Diamond Kids, our Diamond Jubilee Royal Gala, where everyone on stage will be under the age of 17.

So dig deep and find your talent. All you have to do to be considered is to upload a short video of yourself performing to

www.firstnews.co.uk/diamondkids before Friday 10 August 2012. (You can also send your film by post. See the website for details.) Nobody but the judges will be able to see your films.

From these videos, a number of acts will

be chosen to perform at regional Diamond Kids shows at Ambassador Theatres around the country:

9 September Wimbledon

16 September Liverpool

23 September Birmingham

30 September Glasgow

7 October Torquay

21 October York

At these events, a jury and the audience will choose the final acts to perform for royalty in the First News Diamond Kids Royal Gala in London’s West End on Sunday 4 November. Profits from the Royal Gala will go to ChildLine, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

Watch Daybreak on ITV and listen to Heart Radio to find out more or head over to http://www.firstnews.co.uk/diamondkids/.

Annoyingly, it doesn't come anywhere near to where I live and I'm really bad at singing!
