Chapter 1 - COMPLETE!!!

By Zorua101 (Age 13)

Finally! After a few tense weeks, it's done! How do you like it? Just remember, this is probably one tenth of what it's going to be when it's finished! So here it is!

The Final Pokémon League

Chapter 1: Arrival

"There it is!" I shouted in excitement. "League Island!"

My Riolu beside me chirped in excitement. It was obvious he was full of anticipation - just like his trainer.

The boat's foghorn sounded as we approached the location of the Unova Pokémon League. This would be a day to remember.

I had managed to get 8 badges from all the Pokémon Gyms in Unova. All of the battles were hard - but my Pokémon friends pulled through. We did it together, no doubt about it. And now, thanks to my Pokémon, we were in the Pokémon League!

The boat pulled up to the quayside and opened it's doors to the Pokémon Village. Picking up my bags, I rushed out into the colourful throng of people and Pokémon. There were snack stalls, shops full of Pokémon merchandise - and of course, the essential Poké Mart and the Pokémon Center.

A boy to the left of me gasped. "It looks so awesome!" he said. He was Callum - we were friends from Nuvema Town and we had both received our first Pokémon together. I chose Snivy - his compassionate nature and his strive to win but always have fun really appealed to me. Callum had eventually decided on Tepig.

One thing - you may be thinking how I got my Riolu. Well, there was a Pokémon Breeder outside the Day Care on Route 3. He gave me and Callum a rare Pokémon Egg. Mine hatched into a Riolu - Callum's hatched into a Tyrogue, which had evolved into a Hitmontop. However, I liked Riolu just the way he was, and I thought he thought the same, so I had bought an Everstone for him.

Callum's Emboar grunted in agreement. The great hulking boar stood high on it's hind legs and towered over everyone present.

"Right," I said. "Let's see if we can get to the Pokémon Center to grab our card key."

Callum nodded, and we both ran to the huge building on the right of the complex, Callum's Emboar clearing the path as everybody jumped out of the way of the flaming pig.

As we reached the door, I heard a voice. "So you've won 8 badges as well, huh?" it said. "Well, you'd better get ready when I kick you out of the first round! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Callum giggled. "That laugh is SOOOO lame!" he said.

"And if you ever hear a lame laugh," I said. We both turned around and said, "IT'S SANDRA!"

The blue-haired girl in front of us frowned. "Are you insulting me?" she growled angrily.

"As a matter of fact, yes," Callum said.

Sandra frowned again. "I wouldn't suggest you do so." She whipped her sky-coloured hair and walked off.

"Wow, that was short," I said once Sandra was out of earshot.

"Tell me about it," Callum agreed.

"Usually she would challenge you to a battle."

"And thrash me."

"Yep, and thrash you."

Callum sighed. "I don't know how she does it. I mean, we both have 8 badges - we should, in theory, be evenly matched."

"Yeah," I said. "But why don't we register first? I've got enough Pokédollars to get one of those two-bedroom suites, complete with a training ground."

"No way!" Callum exclaimed. "Just how much do you have?!"

"If you really want to know, £99,999,999," I said absently.

"Are you serious?!" Callum's eyes looked like they were about to pop right out of their sockets.

"There was this guy in a town who was a maniac about ancient artefacts."

"So you brought your whole collection from your bookshelf?"

"No, I just posted them to the address he gave me. I kept the Fossils, though. He sent me the £99,900,000 when he received the packages. Apparently, those crowns I found were worth £300,000 each. I've heard they're now on display at the Nacrene Museum, along with the other stuff."

"Now that," Callum said, "is awesome."

"Yeah, it's pretty neat," I said. "But I think instead of standing around here, we should go and actually register before everything's packed."

"Right," Callum said. We walked through the automatic doors and found ourselves at the back of thankfully a quite small queue. We were at the registration desk in literally no time at all.

"Alec Victory. A one-bedroom complex with en-suite bathroom, TV room and training arena, please," I said to the member of staff behind the desk, also handing her my luggage.

"Still like your surname," Callum teased.

"I know you like my surname," I replied.

"That would be £1,200,000, please," the uniformed lady said.

As I started to pay up, the member of staff told me, "You will be competing in the main battleground for the first round. We hope you enjoy your time in Pokémon Village, and remember - always have fun, no matter what happens!"

Once I had given her the money, she handed me the card key and the arena key. Callum and I thanked her, then set off to our apartment.

While we were walking down the main stall road, my Riolu started to tug at my sleeve. "What is it?" I asked him. Then I felt it.

I felt energy - a peculiar energy that I had never felt in my entire life. And it seemed to be emanating from a small wooden carving of a Riolu in a shop window. My Riolu was looking at it with a face of wonder. He turned round, and as soon as I saw his pleading eyes, I knew I had to buy this for him.

Callum walked up next to me and took a look at the shop sign. "'Items for Pokémon'," he read. "Right to the point, but no brand name or whatever, like..." Callum took a look around at the other shop names. "Like... ah! Gordonize's PokéJewellery!"

I nodded. We both walked into the shop, the bell ringing as we opened the door. A shabby, grey-faced man came out from behind the counter. "May I help you?" he said.

"In the window," I said, "there was a model of a Riolu. I would like to buy it."

"Ah, customers," the old man said in his raspy voice. "The item you seek is worth £10,000. I will get it for you." The man opened the back wall of the shelf and picked out the figure. He handed it to me in exchange for the £10,000. "Take good care of it," he smiled.

I gave the figure to Riolu. He carefully took it, and treating it as a mother would treat a new-born baby, he hugged it close to his chest. I could sense his happiness. Then a thought struck me.

"Sir," I said to the old man. "May I take a look around?"

"Why, be my guest!" he exclaimed. "It's been a long time since anybody had a browse in my lowly shop."

I nodded, then realised that Callum was not in the shop with me. I turned to the door. Callum was attempting to pull his Emboar through the small entrance. "Help?" he grunted.

"Pleasure," I answered. I reached round Emboar's huge body and poked a specific place on his tummy. He jumped back and finally got out of his predicament.

"Next time, do it sideways," I reminded Callum. He smiled the smile of an embarrassed 12-year-old.

I turned back to the shelves. I began to walk down one of the aisles, when I saw a strange stone. It was mostly dark, but there was a multi-coloured stripe diagonally across it. "What's this?" I asked the old shopkeeper.

"Ah," the old man said, "That is a Miracle Stone. When held by a Pokémon, all of that Pokémon's moves are super-effective against the opponent, even if the opponent has an immunity to the move's type. The cost is a reasonable £5,000. Were you thinking of buying it?"

I took a Poké-ball from my belt and opened it. The energy inside materialised into a fox-like Pokémon. It was Zorua.

I picked Zorua up and showed him the stone. "How would you like to have that?" I asked him gently. Zorua sniffed the mineral, then nuzzled it. I gave £5,000 to the shopkeeper.

"Right, Serperior next," I said to myself, opening up another Poké-ball from my belt and returning Zorua. A huge, leafy serpent appeared.

"Right, Serperior," I said to my Pokémon. "We're on a shopping spree right now, so pick anything you want."

Serperior immediately slithered down the far left aisle. I quickly followed.

When I rounded the corner, I saw Serperior looking at a huge 'target dummy'. I realised that Serperior wanted to train his low Attack and Special Attack stat. I bought that for £300.

Next up was my Margikarp, who I bought for £500 from a man on vacation in Accumula Town. I, for one, did not allow him to evolve as I knew I could bring out something special in him. When I saw the pack of Water Discs I knew that that was the answer. The pack was £2,000, due to the rarity and value of the discs.

The second-to-last Pokémon I had was my Archeops. His ability, Defeatist, was really annoying, so I started searching for an Ability Switcher. After about five seconds, I spotted one, labelled 'Illusion'. I nearly jumped out of the window. It was very, very rare. I got it for £1,000.

Finally, I had Hydreigon. The great big dragon went right for a Dragon Fang. I sighed. "Hydreigon," I said, "this is probably a once in a lifetime opportunity, so why not pick something worthwhile?"

Hyseigon snorted and spun around 360 degrees. Then he spun back 180. He had seen something oval in 3D. A white shell with green spots. It was a Pokémon Egg.

I scrutinised it with the greatest curiosity. There was a feeling emanating from it - it was a bit like the Riolu figure I had just bought. But the aura was different - it was a little less powerful, but I could feel warmth, as if the Pokémon inside was a powerful Fire type. And there was also a hint of a strange aura that seemed to get inside your mind... it was Psychic.

I thought to myself, what's the only Fire and Psychic dual type Pokémon known to date? Then the answer hit me, and I nearly fainted. What's an Egg like that doing here?! I thought in surprise.

"That Egg is £100, if you want to buy it," the old shopkeeper said., suddenly right next to me. I nearly fainted for the second time.

"Well, that's a bargain!" Callum exclaimed. "Go on mate! Buy it!"

I handed £100 to the shopkeeper. The old man took the money and went round the counter. He came back out with a carrying case for the Egg. Carefully, he lowered the Egg onto the soft pillow inside. "And that should do it," he said.

I looked at Hydreigon, who had finally found something worth something. A Mystical Tail.

"Good, we're all done," I said, as I paid for the Mystical Tail. "I'm heading off to our apartment now, Callum." I handed a map of Pokémon Village to my friend. "Use this to find me. We're number 00..." I stammered and stopped reading. I couldn't believe my eyes. The number on the Card Key was 000-494! They were the Pokédex numbers for the Pokémon in the Egg!

It's probably a coincidence, it's probably a coincidence, I thought. There's no connection. Then I sneaked a peek at the back of the sign of the shop I was still in. The telephone number was 01649 000494. My brain nearly blew.

I just handed the Card Key to Callum with a shaking hand. He read the number. "Okay, Alec," he said. "See you in 15 minutes. I'm going to get some stuff as well."

I took the Card Key back and exited the shop, my Riolu close at my heels. We hurried to our apartment. It was very near the main arena.

As I ran, I began to get the feeling that someone wanted to talk with me, as my instincts were buzzing madly. So I stopped. Then my vision went black.

I was surprised - wouldn't anyone be? And of course, it was frightening. Then I heard a voice in the darkness.

"Hi, Alec," it said happily. Then I saw a shape approach. How I saw it I didn't know. But then, suddenly, the black scenery changed into a huge flower garden - and in the middle of it was my Riolu. He waved and smiled. I didn't know what to say, I was so dumbstruck.

I looked down at my feet, which were luckily there, visible. When I say feet I mean trainers. Then I turned my gaze to Riolu. I walked towards him in a slight trance.

Once I reached him, I asked, "How did you do this?"

"Errr..." my Riolu pondered out loud. "I'm not that sure..."

I jumped backwards as if someone had touched me with a red-hot poker. "Did you just talk?!" I said.

"I... think so," my Riolu said. "But... errr... I don't know how... urk!" Riolu suddenly clutched his head in agony. He was whispering something.

"The power of Time... the fabrics of Space.. the emanation of antimatter... the winds... the storms... the blizzards... the reign of water, earth and sky... all are being distorted... by something..."

Now this was just plain weird. My Riolu seems to connect to me via a dream, which I had no idea he could do, and now he was muttering some gobbledygook about the distortion of stuff I didn't know about as if he was mad - and I didn't really want a mad Pokémon that did this to me all the time - the strange 'dream' thing.

So obviously, I asked, "Are you all right?"

"That... errr... I'm not sure of that either..." Riolu said.

"Are you even sure about anything?" I asked.

"I... remember... a name... Aura... Aura..." Riolu said.

Now I was really annoyed. "And Aura is the name of who, exactly?"

"Me," Riolu immediately said, before seeming to realise his subconsciousness answered for him. "What?" he exclaimed. "No way! There's absolutely no way that I am him reincarnated..." Aura's voice trailed off when he realised I was still there.

"I-I'm sorry," he said. "I don't know what's what anymore."

"Can you somehow stop this so my brain doesn't explode," I said, stressed out, freaked out, and about ready to actually get back to the real world.

"Hmm..." Aura said. Then he suddenly snapped his fingers, with a look of utter surprise on his face. The scene faded to black, there were a few strobe effects, and then we arrived.

Luckily, I was back to reality. Unluckily, me and Aura were on top of a snack stall. The delicate cloth ripped and we tumbled onto a huge, bald man with headphones round his neck, like a DJ.

As we sat on top of this man, now unconscious, Aura said, "Well, I never expected that to happen."

The huge crowd that had gathered round me gasped in surprise as they realised that Aura could talk. They quickly shuffled away.

I turned on Aura. "You never expected this to happen?!" I shouted. Aura cringed.

"I... was slightly off target," he said.

I heard another gasp from behind, and a grunt of surprise. I swung round, and guess who I saw? Callum and Emboar.

"OMA, mate! How'd ya get all the way over here?" Callum asked. Then he nodded at Aura. "And how did he talk?" he added.

I explained the last 2 minutes to Callum, who listened to my story without raising an eyebrow. This was disturbing me, as I thought Callum would be freaking out now.

When I finished, Callum just nodded. "I've heard of this," Callum said.

I almost jumped on top another stall. "Seriously?!" I asked.

"It's called the Distortion Call," Callum explained. "You know when something bad is happening, Pokémon always know about it? They feel something's not right? They receive a Distortion Call. The strength of it is decided by the Pokémon's Aura Energy. Aura Energy is what keeps Pokémon going, by the way. It seems your Riolu -"

"He's called Aura," I cut in.

"- Fine, Aura," Callum corrected. "He seems to have had a severe Distortion Call, which gave him amazing powers. It was probably strengthened by that figure Aura has." Callum pointed to the doll Aura had put into the visible mesh pocket of my rucksack.

I looked at the figure. It didn't seem like it was some huge awesome thing that strengthened powers. "And your point?" I remarked stubbornly.

"Look, mate!" Callum exclaimed. "This severe Distortion Call thingy only appears once in a million lifetimes! You have a one in a million Pokémon!"

"Oh my godly Arceus!" I shouted. "That's what happened? That's all that happened?" I slapped my head. "OMA OMA OMA!!!!"

The guy underneath me and Aura started to stir. He groaned loudly.

"All right, I think we've spent enough time browsing," I said quietly as we edged away from the stall. "Let's SCRAM!!!" And we ran off towards the main battlefield, Callum quickly returning Emboar.

As we passed underneath a billboard advertising the Pokémon League, I asked Callum, "How did you know about the Distortion Call?"

"Well, you know I was always interested in becoming a Pokémon trainer?" Callum began.

"Yep!" I said.

"It was a rhetorical question, actually," Callum said. "Anyway, I was always reading up on Pokémon, and one day, when I was surfing the Internet, I came across a website I'd never seen before."

"Yeah, the Internet has trillions of websites on it, and you come across one you'd never seen before," I said sarcastically.

"I mean it," Callum said. He was desperately trying to keep his patience, like I was desperately trying to keep my sanity. I'd suddenly been launched into a world of mysterious Distortion Calls and special powers and other stuff that fried my brain every time I heard it.

"There was a website with the link www.dkgcehufdbqyopkfnilbjfzkygdkdhedagwglolvnyjdhrdegb.un.ova/forging-hsh_!,€~*%?!")@&)4745gkfh%," Callum said, out if breath when he reached the 'slash'. And I wondered, how in Arceus' domain did he remember that?!

"I have a photographic memory," Callum said, as if he had read my thoughts.

"Now I'm being freaked out by two people," I muttered under my breath.

"Anyway," Callum continued, "I clicked on this link and I was looking at a white screen. I wondered if my PC had had it. But then I started seeing pictures."

"Pictures are on literally every website," I interrupted.

"But these pictures were different!" Callum said. "They started to show disasters that had happened all over the world - the New Island storm, the freak weather conditions, the distortion of time, space and antimatter - it was all there! Then, at the end of the presentation, five words appeared. And they revealed the sentence, 'the Distortion Call knows all'."

"So how did you find out more about the Distortion Call?" I asked.

"Well -" Callum began. Suddenly, there was a loud THUD, and Callum wasn't next to me anymore. I stopped and looked back. Callum had ran into a signpost. We were so busy talking we didn't realise we were still running.

I rushed back to Callum and picked him up by the armpits. "So what were you saying?" I asked.

"Well, I searched Distortion Call on the web, and only found one related search," Callum said. "It was written by a professor I'd never heard of before - she was called Professor Beech. She had studied Pokémon extensively and had probed every corner of the world in search of new, strange discoveries.

"One day, she had been exposed to a mysterious substance, which turned her into a Pokémon while in her lab. The other scientists, despite her protests in her new-found Pokémon language, kicked her out. That night, she stole in and recovered her memo pad, where she wrote down her new findings, if any. And so she journeyed around the world, and being a Pokémon, she found out the inner secrets of the race.

"She discovered a peculiar force called Aura Energy. Aura Energy latched onto a Pokémon's life force and the more amount that connected, the more powerful the Pokémon became. Aura Energy determined what moves the Pokémon could use, and how quickly it would learn new ones.

"She also discovered the Distortion Call. Around the time when time and space were corrupting each other, Professor Beech received a vision, showing her the catastrophe and persuading her to help. She was really surprised - who wouldn't be? - so she decided to journey back across all the regions and returned to her lab.

"When she stepped up to the door, battered and bruised from her long trek, she transformed back into her human self. The scientists noticed her and brought her in, but she was failing. She would not live on the Earth for much longer.

"Her final wish was to publish her journal on the Internet - to show her amazing journey as a real Pokémon. And it was this website I found that told me about this Distortion Call. I've realised that Aura may have more potential than he ever imagined, thanks to the power of Aura Energy."

I looked down at Aura, who shrugged at me, suggesting he had no idea what Callum was talking about. He looked like a normal Riolu - he stood on his hind legs, had white bulging patches on his wrists, the dog-like face. I couldn't see anything wrong with him - apart from when he talked, said hi in strange dreams... it was all so new and confusing!

"I can understand how hard it is for you to take in all of this," Callum said. "But it's true."

"Okay," I said. "I'm a normal Pokémon trainer competing in a normal Pokémon League, when I suddenly discover that Pokémon see natural disasters -"

"Just disasters," Callum corrected, "of any sort."

"- Fine," I said, "But still the point stands. So, I discover this thing called a Distortion Call in a strange dream -"

"I transported you to an alternate dimension," Aura interrupted, trying to stare at his mouth as if it had a life of its own.

I was getting annoyed - again. "Why does everyone interrupt me when I'm trying to understand what in Arceus' domain is going on?!" I shouted out of despair. A few people wandering by gave me strange looks and carried on.

"You just..." Callum began.

"I know," I said, calming down a little. "Sorry about that."

"Why do you keep on saying it anyway?" Callum asked.

"Because," I said, "like I said, I have no idea what is going on with me and Aura. I dunno, is it some sort of fate-binding thing, 'cause I don't want that."

Callum stared at me as if I was alien. "You've definitely changed," he said.

"OF COURSE I'VE CHANGED!!!" I shouted. "I'VE TURNED INTO A CRAZED MADMAN WHO IS BEING TROUBLED BY A POKÉMON WHO SAYS HE SHOULD BE DECEASED!!!" I received more looks. I took a deep breath. "But I'll have to pull through this," I said. "Otherwise this chance in the League may be gone."

"That was a quick change of attitude," Callum muttered to himself.

I looked up to contemplate my life so far - then saw what the signpost Callum had bumped into said. It was pointing towards a huge villa, with a miniature stadium seated next to it. The signpost read, 'Villa 000-494'.

"Finally," I mumbled. "With a couple of unexpected detours, we have arrived at our original destination."

Callum looked across at where I was staring and attempted to hide a gasp of astonishment. It wasn't possible.

The white-washed walls gleamed in the bright midday sun. Golden doors stood out from the normal brown colour of the other villas in the area. A decorated balcony jutted out from a few sliding windows. And the mini battle-ground had it all - floodlights, podiums, even spectators' seats. The villa was more like a palace than a refuge for Pokémon trainers.

"That's - so - AWESOME!" Callum exclaimed. He rushed up to the door and attempted to give it a big hug, while I walked towards the swipe card lock to the side of the entrance. In a daze of wonderment, I swiped the Card Key.

KER-CHING! It made a sound like a cash machine, then flung open its doors. Callum was catapulted off to the right of our villa.

An auburn-haired girl had just exited her apartment, and was enjoying the fresh air. She was wearing blue shorts and a yellow t-shirt. Her sandals were of a sandy colour, and they mixed well with her tanned skin. The girl breathed in and smiled. Next thing she knew, she had been tangled up with a face-full of Callum and sent careering into a pond full of duckweed. Callum joined her as he landed with a splash, wetting the unfortunate girl even more.

The girl spouted water and snarled. "WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" she shouted.

"Erm... sorry?" Callum said timidly, still sitting in the water.

The girl slapped Callum across the face. "You remember the name Alex Farrier," she growled in a menacing voice. She waddled out of the pond, and I got a look at what her t-shirt said. It read, 'Fight is just another word for fun'.

I nearly jumped. Fighting could be dangerous and even fatal! Alex Farrier must be really weird, I thought. Maybe she isn't much of a girl - like she turned to the other side. A tomboy, perhaps.

Callum waded towards me. "She's got attitude, man," he said. "But did you see that t-shirt?"

"The one that suggested she was into violence?" I said.

"There were two meanings," Callum sighed. "One was what you said - the other is that even if she's losing a Pokémon battle, she'll always have fun, no matter what."

"She doesn't look like she has fun battling," I muttered. Then I decided to change the subject to a happier note. "Shall we take a peek inside?" I said, motioning to our new accommodation.

Callum cheeky grin came back. "Oh yeah," he said.

Walking through the door, we found ourselves in a marble-floored entrance hall. Cylindrical pillars held up the ceiling, way above our heads. Painted on it were illustrations of Rayquaza and Deoxys in a starry background. The artistry was amazing.

The dining room, or dining hall, it should have been called, was the size of a Pokémon Gym. And when I looked up to see if there was another picture, I recoiled in surprise and amazement. It was a huge picture of Arceus using its signature move, Judgement. Chandeliers were hung where the line of each individual meteor stopped, giving the painting a 3D feel.

Aura was craning his neck to see the exhibition of art. Then, for no particular reason, he gasped. "Alec!" he exclaimed. "That guy looks just like you!"

He pointed to a figure on the back of Arceus that looked like it was riding the Pokémon. My closer inspection revealed I was literally looking at a mirror image of myself. I could see the same flaxen-coloured hair, flowing backwards a little bit like my hair did when the wind was blowing in my face, and my deep, blue eyes, with their determined stare that was my trademark. The figure was wearing a t-shirt I had brought for the trip, and the brown trousers I had bought in the ship's shopping mall was also being worn.

I didn't believe it. It was as if someone had been predicting the future - but I wouldn't be riding Arceus any time soon - more likely, I wouldn't ride him in my lifetime. But there I was.

And sitting behind me, on the back of Arceus, was Aura. I gaped. I gawked. I even tried to gapk, but I couldn't, as the action didn't exist. I just stared.

Aura was also amazed. He was looking at his picture as if it was the most important thing in the world. Callum seemed to be the only living thing that wasn't surprised.

In the middle of the dining room was a huge table, a creation of varnished pine. Callum ran his hand along the length of it, marvelling at the smoothness of the woodwork. "Wow," was all he could say.

The kitchen was in the far right-hand corner of the gigantic room, accessible without having to go through a door. But it was more of a chef's heaven than a domestic cooking area. Lines of utensils and cooking material were laid on the five rows of workspace. There was even a cookery-book library at the back for reference.

"This is like a palace!" Callum exclaimed, his loud voice echoing round the hall.

"Let's see what the sleeping quarters are like," I grinned.

We headed up the spiralling, ornate oak stairs and opened the door in front of us. We entered a room with two double beds, an en-suite bathroom the size of a small Poké-Mart and a balcony with a few round tables on, separated from the main chamber by sliding windows. The pure white duvets shone like the sun.

Callum took a running leap and fell onto the nearest clean bed. Unfortunately, both him and I had forgotten that he was still covered in duckweed. As he rolled around on the comforting surface, his duvet became a sickly green colour.

Callum stopped rolling when he noticed the mess. "Oops," was the only thing he said.

"I'll pop it in the wash," I said.

"Where'll you wash it?" Callum asked.

"It might be up the next flight of stairs," I said. "I'm talking about the washing machine," I added.

"Thanks, mate," Callum said, before hopping off to the dining hall, probably to gaze at some more woodwork.

I picked up the now dirty sheet and carried it up to the third floor, being careful not to stain the stairs. I entered the door to the left, as the other door, I guessed, led to the dining hall - probably onto a balcony where musicians played.

Luckily, the washing machine was in there. I stuffed the green duvet into the tumbler and set the machine to wash for two hours. Then I noticed the door.

I walked towards it and turned the knob. I pulled and found myself at the top of a flight of stairs leading down to the battle-ground of the stadium. When I saw the field, I realised I hadn't collected the battle dummy I'd purchased in the 'Items for Pokémon' shop a while ago. But I saw it down on the battle-field. I was freaked out, and nearly fainted for probably the gazillionth time.

I started to feel tired and in need of a rest. I returned to the bedroom and undressed. I found my bags at the foot of my bed. Nice hospitality, I thought.

Taking out my Zorua-pyjamas and putting all of my other clothes in my wardrobe, I got ready for bed and a tiring day tomorrow. I brushed my teeth in the bathroom, as otherwise my mum would have seen that I would have not brushed my teeth, and probably busted my brains out in a mental way.

I closed the covers around me and Aura beside me, and felt at peace. I now didn't jump when Aura talked, and if Aura did another dream-talk, I would be fine. The soft material dulled my senses, and before I knew it, my eyes had closed, and I had fallen asleep.

Enjoy reading it again and again if you want. And one more thing - MORE CHARACTERS PLEASE! I need these characters NOW as there are only three or four places left. If you can't find my original article, please comment on this one! Thank you!

  • Zorua101 (Age 13) wrote on Monday, 30 May 2011 @ 19:16

Fine, laurcool. Good advice, just you should be able to find quite a few descriptive passages in this story!!!

  • laurcool (Age 12) wrote on Tuesday, 31 May 2011 @ 14:26

    I was just giving advice...

  • Zorua101 (Age 13) wrote on Tuesday, 31 May 2011 @ 16:00

laurcool, sometimes if you're writing a story, it's nearly impossible to put in extra description, otherwise the reader may get bored. This problem will crop up a lot when you're trying to write a novel. You've always got to keep in mind your target audience! Don't worry about it. If you really want, I'll extend the first chapter and give you even more to read!!! LOL LOL LOL

  • Zorua101 (Age 13) wrote on Thursday, 2 June 2011 @ 10:29

If possible, when you are making a character, please put in a bit more information than just his or her name, so personality, Pokemon etc. Thanks!

  • Zorua101 (Age 13) wrote on Thursday, 2 June 2011 @ 17:04

laurcool, I'm going through Chapter 1 and adding in a few more things!

  • Zorua101 (Age 13) wrote on Sunday, 12 June 2011 @ 09:09

  • Zorua101 (Age 13) wrote on Saturday, 25 June 2011 @ 19:53

Sorry, everyone! THAT'S IT! No more spaces for characters - the last one was taken up by Alyssa Tyler, made by aquaPuppy for her story and kindly offered to me. THANK YOU EVERYBODY!

  • Zorua101 (Age 13) wrote on Thursday, 30 June 2011 @ 20:30

Yeah, IndigoWolf, omA! I've been using it in real life when talking to my Pokemon fan friends. (That's about 2, by the way. :O )

  • fishii10 (Age 14) wrote on Tuesday, 26 July 2011 @ 14:11

That's great! I was thinking of writing Black/White as a novel and having the player character as Black. Sounds good as I've had writer's block for a long while. I've got a story called Nature's Rage in progress now.

  • Zorua101 (Age 13) wrote on Wednesday, 27 July 2011 @ 11:35

@fishii10: The main characters in Black and White's names are: male - Hilbert, and female - Hilda, I believe!

  • barnowl (Age 10) wrote on Thursday, 28 July 2011 @ 14:40

    I like this story!

  • fishii10 (Age 14) wrote on Thursday, 28 July 2011 @ 19:46

Hilbert!? Hilda!? Really? That's madness. I've just beaten the 5th gym with a level 32 ducklett, 31 mewtwo (traded to me from my friend who cheated) and his lv100 emboar. Not to mention a dragonite of the same level.

  • fishii10 (Age 14) wrote on Wednesday, 3 August 2011 @ 10:59

Is this for the renaming of Team Unova/Poketeam B&W? Anyway, you're unsurprisingly top of my sneeze page for the best creative writers on First News! It's amazing how you write at such a consistently awesome level!

  • Zorua101 (Age 13) wrote on Wednesday, 3 August 2011 @ 12:28

@fishii10: Thanks! :) And yes, in Challenger 2 I may also ask if people could vote for a good Pokemon Club name. So far our choices are Team Unova and Poketeam B&W. But we need more candidates and a final decision! :)

  • Zorua101 (Age 13) wrote on Wednesday, 10 August 2011 @ 14:19

@chickengal: Basically a Pokemon club where we set challenges for other First News Pokemon fans to do. It was originally fishii10 and me setting the challenges - but now fishii10 seems to have disappeared and so Team Unova is starting to fade. Perhaps you could help somewhat by rounding up our members!

It's completely pointless to say on this article that you hate Pokemon, peoples! :( Zorua101 has put a lot of effort into this, and if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all!

Guess what! Remember Chapter 3, the 'rubber duck' scenario? I read it to one of my friends from school on the train. As soon as I had mentioned the duck part, he cracked up and carried on laughing until he had to get off. The next day, he was referencing nearly everything to the rubber duck scenario! 0_0

Sorry I can't read all of it now, but I'll most definitely come back to it because I just love stories and to be honest with you, I would probably create a long story too. Just ignore the offensive comments - they're just horrible and don't realise what they would feel like if it was them.

  • Zorua101 (Age 13) wrote on Wednesday, 14 March 2012 @ 17:05
