Art Academy (DS)

By nwilliams

Nintendo’s latest attempt to teach you something gives you lots of lessons on how to put together a quality painting or drawing.
A beardy character called Vince takes you through the lessons. These start with sketching simple outlines to more advanced techniques involving shading and the use of colour and lighting.
A few tools help you to perfect your work, such as a grid to split your reference pictures up, or a magnifying glass to help add detail. You can also use the DSi camera to snap pictures and copy them.

Chloe says: “This has lots of easy to follow lessons to help you learn to draw, and also has free draw where you can use different brushes and pencils. If you enjoy art and would like to get better, this is the game for you.”
