Just talk

Accents

By CandyEllz (Age 11)

Wotcher!

I was just wondering... what accent do YOU have? Do you like it? If you could have another accent what would it be?

I have a Glaswegian (Glasgow, by the way) Scottish accent. :) I like it and I wouldn't change it, because it makes me feel unique..especially when I'm talking to English people! Sometimes they don't understand what I'm saying! :'D

So...what's YOUR accent? :3

I was going to write an article like this the other day! ...then I thought it was too much effort so just did some commenting instead ;) I have quite a posh accent really! :D I have lived in Suffolk all my life but my family are somehow resistant to picking up a Suffolk accent! But I love my accent! I get called 'Posh totty' at school because of it :L But I really do love it though! I sound like Amber from Made in Chelsea if you've ever watched... I love my accent! :D

I have a Scottish accent too, it's a bit annoying sometimes but it's funny when people don't understand what I'm saying. Sometimes even people from Scotland don't know what I'm saying! :)

I have a bit of Irish (my parents), a bit of English (I lived there since I was four), a bit of American (DUNNO :P) and a bit of Australian (I used to live there). So essentially I have a Canadian accent! Although I have never been to Canada, but my mum does have some Canadian cousins...loads of people think I'm Canadian, but I'm 100% Irish!

I don't really know if I have an accent, but sometimes you don't think that you have an accent, just everyone else does! As I have the same accent as all my friends it doesn't really sound like an accent, so I don't really know... I don't think that any of that made sense... Ohh well... I'm from Surrey, so I suppose I have a Home Counties accent... :S :/
